Tax Manager
Our client, a local CPA firm, is looking for a skilled Tax Manager who has a strong foundation in public accounting. The preferred candidate should excel in preparing both individual and business tax returns, along with providing tax projections and advisory services. Tax research skills are essential. Additionally, the candidate must be adept at thoroughly reviewing and supervising the work of junior staff.
Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation and Planning, and Review
- Preparation of individual and business tax returns.
- Develop and implement tailored tax planning strategies to meet the unique needs of clients.
- Maintain knowledge of changes in tax regulations and apply this knowledge to client work.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on the work of preparation staff, ensuring compliance with firm standards.
Requirements:
Education and Certification
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- An active CPA license
Experience
- Proven track record of effectively managing client engagements in a public accounting context, overseeing all aspects from planning to final delivery.
- Expertise in implementing tax strategies and adhering to tax regulations for complex tax planning and compliance scenarios, catering to a varied clientele.
- Demonstrated commitment to exceptional client service, problem-solving, continuous learning, and professional development.
Software Proficiency
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online or a willingness to become proficient.
- Prior experience with Thomson Reuters Software (UltraTax, Fixed Assets CS, Planner CS, etc.) a plus, but not required.
- Proficient in using tax research software to gather information and stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
