Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance:

  • Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax returns, including estimated tax payments and extension requests, using Corptax software.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and payments.
  • Assist with the preparation of state apportionment and adjustment workpapers.
  • Maintain and update tax-related charts, including consolidated entity listings and state filing requirements.
  • Monitor key milestones for U.S. federal and state tax compliance.

Tax Provision:

  • Assist in preparing quarterly and year-end ASC 740 tax provisions for corporate and subsidiary entities using Corptax Provision.
  • Reconcile tax account activity and analyze permanent and temporary differences.
  • Conduct return-to-provision reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K.

Tax Audits:

  • Support responses to U.S. federal and state tax authority inquiries, including information document requests (IDRs).

Tax Planning and Special Projects:

  • Stay current on evolving tax laws and accounting changes.
  • Assist with ad hoc tax inquiries from business units.
  • Participate in various special tax projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • Experience in public accounting or corporate tax; a combination of both is ideal.
  • Strong interest and understanding of state and local income tax concepts, including apportionment and sales sourcing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience with tax software required; Corptax experience preferred.
