Restructuring Analyst
I have just been instructed on a position with a global law firm. The role will be responsible for market trend analysis and identifying distressed and special situations in the market.
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor market events that might generate restructuring/liability management opportunities in the markets or industries we are targeting; as well as identifying any new markets or industries that may become distressed.
- Analyse financials, operational performance, capital structures with a view to try and identify early signs of distress to be able to target potential opportunities.
- Analyse target debtors’ financial condition and performance, including ability to raise additional capital.
- Prepare regular reports in connection with new and existing business opportunities and discuss those with senior members of the restructuring/special situations team.
- Assist with financial analysis in preparing pitch decks.
- Assist in the evaluation of investment opportunities in distressed and special situations.
- Support the maintenance of various new and existing target trackers.
To be considered, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of work experience in corporate restructuring, financial advisory and/or investment banking with a financing focus.
- Extensive knowledge of the finance and restructuring industry, with an understanding of cross-border transactions, loan/fund structures.
- An in-depth understanding of stressed, distressed and special situations opportunities.
