Finance Director
Job Overview
Our client, a global industry leading Fintech organization is seeking a Director of Finance leader to oversee two manufacturing-related business units (combined revenues up to $1B). The role involves managing financial operations, providing strategic insights, and driving financial performance. A strong background in FP&A and familiarity with manufacturing processes is essential. This position leads a team of two direct reports, supported by offshore resources contributing to transformation, AI, and upskilling initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Partner with business leaders to achieve budget targets and optimize capital investments.
- Develop and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to streamline financial processes.
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the allocation of costs and evaluation of pricing strategies for new services or products.
- Manage and control budgets, monitoring adherence and identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Assist in month-end close activities and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ensure data integrity and accurate analysis in financial reports.
- Monitor cash resource management and improve cost structures.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Support transformation initiatives to enhance operations.
- Lead, mentor, and train a team of finance professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters, MBA or CPA is a plus)
- 8 – 10 years of finance experience, with 3+ years of proven leadership, people management and team building skills
- Extensive knowledge of financial management, planning, and GAAP principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering decision-making abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience with presentations.
- Experience in designing and implementing process improvements.
