Corporate Tax Manager – OMBs and Private Businesses

Location: Reading

My client is a leading advisory firm specialising in providing comprehensive tax advisory services to privately owned businesses, affluent individuals, families, and private equity-backed portfolio companies. They are now looking to hire a Tax Manager to join their growing Private Business team in Reading, Hybrid working available.

Role Overview:

As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality tax advisory services to your portfolio of clients. Working very closely with experienced partners and directors, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and diverse consultancy projects, such as transactions, restructuring/structuring and IPOs. Providing expert advice on a broad range of tax matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on complex tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, and tax strategy to clients.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their tax needs are met with precision and excellence.
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior staff members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of the latest tax legislation and developments, ensuring our clients receive the most up-to-date and relevant advice.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop innovative solutions and deliver best-in-class service to our clients.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified professional (ACA/ACCA/CTA) with significant experience in tax advisory services or relevant overseas qualifications/ Law qualifications.
  • Demonstrable expertise in domestic and international tax regulations, with a strong understanding of tax planning strategies.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex tax projects and delivering exceptional results for clients.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in technology and software applications relevant to tax advisory services.
