Past Progress
If you could tell your younger self one thing what would it be and why?
I would tell my younger self to be more confident and be less afraid to speak out for myself. When I started my career, there were instances where I knew the answer but was not confident enough to present my thoughts. I realise now how much better I can be when I am not afraid to speak out and this motivates me to be even more confident.
What action or decision are you most proud of making in your lifetime?
I am most proud of my decision to move to London from Amsterdam. Moving to London was a big challenge for me as London is a brand new city and I did not know anyone in this city. This took me out of my comfort zone, but I have managed to adapt myself to this new culture and new working environment. I am now building up my life here.
Present Progress
Of the people that inspire you, what character traits do they have which you admire?
I have been fortune enough to work with many people who inspire me. The character traits I admire are people who are proactive, friendly and firm. I do not think it is easy to get the right balance of being friendly and firm at work and is something I am striving towards.
If I were to ask people in your workplace for three adjectives that best describe you, what would they say?
People in my work place would describe me as hard working, approachable and responsible. These are because I am passionate about my job and am always committed to performing my role to the best of my ability.
