Interim Senior Management Accountant
London – Hybrid (6 months+)
£500 p/day umbrella
We have exclusively partnered with a leading industrial Plc based in London who are looking for the support of an Interim Senior management Accountant during a period of change and transformation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the month-end close process, preparing management accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and submitted on time.
- Review and reconcile key accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide insightful analysis and commentary on financial performance to assist senior management in decision-making.
- Assist the finance team with transactional tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and internal financial policies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Analyse variances between actual results and budget/forecast, providing explanations and recommendations for improvement.
- Provide support to the finance team with ad hoc projects and routine requests as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with several years of experience as a Management Accountant.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP.
- Experience with Oracle Planning and Consolidation systems is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in a large, international multi-business organisation.
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines.
- Self-starter with the flexibility to manage multiple, changing priorities and work under tight deadlines
Our client operates a hybrid model with 3 days in the office and 2 days from home
