Job Title: Corporate Accounting Manager
Job Location: New York
Reports to: Head of Corporate Accounting
– Maintain and support general ledger and close activities for management company legal entities including, but not limited to, preparing and reviewing Journal entries, FX/Hedge accounting, Fund, Manager, and Co-investment accruals and variance analysis. Scrutinize allocation of expenses to various vehicles
– Responsible for consolidated view of management entities P&L, variance analysis and comparison to the outlook/budget views on a quarterly basis
– Presentation of executive summaries related to corporate results during quarterly management reporting meetings
– Year-end partnership with FP&A to provide reconciliation of legal entity books to management reporting, and provide projections for year-end accruals and financing needs
– Preparation of financial statements using various basis of presentation (GAAP, Tax, Cash) for management reporting and regulatory requirements, including the customization of legal entity financials in Workday (Balance sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash flow)
– Produce and maintain management level reporting, including the development of reporting in Workday to drive efficiencies and assist senior management in the decision making process.
– Liaising with the middle office, fund controllers and other business partners on further enhancement and transparency between various platforms
– Lead weekly analysis of cash and liquidity needs at all management companies/locations, for manager, fund, and co-investments.
– Record and maintain management fees income and receivable from the various fee producing vehicles. Liaise with fund controllers, and generate reporting to senior management.
– Drive data integrity and synergies between corporate accounting, HR, fund accounting, and middle office.
– Actively participate in the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of Workday, including driving and testing relevant changes in coordination with tech partners.
– Documenting various processes and creating a library of resources to assist with further training and growth of junior personnel
Experience
· 10-14 years of general accounting, reporting, and analysis experience in a global environment with multiple legal entities
· Excel skills required (pivot, vlookup, index/match)
· Workday strongly preferred
· CPA required
· Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS and overall experience with complicated financial statement presentations
